If you don’t know who Dolly Parton is, first of all, that is such a shame (on you). Dolly Rebecca Parton is an American singer, songwriter, actress, businesswoman and humanitarian who has written more than 3000 songs in her career that spans more than half a century!
Fun fact for all the Whitney Houston fans out there: while Houston recorded “I Will Always Love You” in 1992, it is not originally her song. Dolly Parton wrote and released the song in 1973, which peaked at the time. However, it made its way to becoming a classic song only after Houston’s death.
