Developed by Sue Tenney, Virgin River is a romantic drama series based on the Virgin River novels by Robyn Carr. Tenney and Carr are also the executive producers alongside Christopher E. Perry, Roma Roth and Jocelyn Freid.
The first season of the series premiered on December 6, 2019 followed by the second season on November 27, 2020. The third season was released on July 9, 2021 while the fourth is scheduled to premiere on July 20, 2022. The series has been already renewed for a fifth season.

Virgin River Plot and Cast
The makers of Virgin River have not revealed a lot of details about the plot of Season 5. It is expected to continue from Season 4 will end and for now it is hard to predict what might happen in Season 5 since Season 4 is premiering next month. Everything will be dependent on the ending of Season 4.
The basic premise follows Melinda “Mel” Monroe, who answers an ad to work as a midwife and nurse practitioner in the remote Northern California town of Virgin River, thinking it will be the perfect place to start fresh and leave her painful memories behind. But she soon discovers that small-town living isn’t quite as simple as she expected. She must learn to heal herself before she can truly make Virgin River her home.
Talking about the cast, the leads of Season 1 are expected to reprise their roles. This includes Alexandra Breckenridge, Martin Henderson, Colin Lawrence, Jenny Cooper, Lauren Hammersley, Annette O’Toole, Tim Matheson, Benjamin Hollingsworth, Grayson Gurnsey and Sarah Dugdale.
Virgin River Season 5 Release Date
The latest season of Virgin River would premiere in June 2022. Considering that, the fifth season should premiere sometime in 2023, although an official confirmation is still awaited.
