Lately, the Chinese giant Vivo has been focussing on mid-range smartphones. The company just launched the V15 Pro and V15 smartphones in India. Now, the brand has unveiled an entry-level mid-ranger, dubbed as Vivo Y91i in the country.

The Vivo Y9i sports a 6.22-inch HD+ display with a resolution of 1520 x 720 pixels. Under the hood, the phone gets octa-core MediaTek Helio P22 SoC paired with IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU, 2GB RAM and 16GB / 32GB storage.
For photography, the Vivo Y91i gets an AI-powered dual camera setup at the rear. The setup comprises of a 13-megapixel primary snapper with f/2.2 lens, coupled with a secondary 2-megapixel depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. For selfies, we have an 8-megapixel shooter with f/1.8 aperture up front in the water drop notch. The front camera also aids for face unlock feature.
On the software front, the Vivo Y9i1 runs Android 8.1 Oreo OS with Funtouch OS skin on top. A massive 4,030mAh battery backs all of this. Unfortunately, there’s no support for fast charging.
Lastly, connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The phone measures 155.11 x 75.09 x 8.28 mm and gets a fingerprint scanner at the back.

The Vivo Y91i price in India starts at Rs. 7,990 for the base model with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage. Whereas, the top end model with 2GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage is priced at Rs. 8,490. Note that the price was disclosed by the Mumbai based retailer Mahesh Telecom, and the smartphone will be available via retail stores across India.
