With August around the corner, Microsoft announced the next set of games to be free for Xbox Live Gold members. With Xbox Series X getting forward, Games With Gold August marks another landmark on the road to NextGen. Games With Gold is back again to give you free play on both Xbox One and Xbox 360 for your Xbox Live subscription.
August’s Games with Gold features a standard offering of two Xbox One titles and two backward-compatible Xbox 360 titles that will attract the eye of those looking to do some down and dirty road racing or mass destruction on the Red Planet.
August’s games were announced on Tuesday, 28 July, and will be available for download on Saturday, 1 August.
Portal Knights – Xbox One from August 1-31.
Override: Mech City Brawl – Accessible from 16 August to 15 September.
MX Unleashed – Available August 1-15 on Xbox One & Xbox 360.
Red Faction II – Available August 16-31 on Xbox One & Xbox 360.

Red Faction II
In this classic first-person shooting game, the battle to topple a crooked tyrant and administration. Command a team of specialized super-soldiers, each with their expert destruction tactics ranging from explosives to gunships, overthrow the corrupt government and bring stability to the country.
MX Unleashed
Play a fantastically addictive motorcycle freestyle game from a classic Xbox age. Perform flips and tricks on massive, dangerous tracks to discover amazing game secrets through a large variety of freestyle and supercross venues. This motocross game is one massive off-road park, featuring large sandbox worlds.
