Is ‘Castle Rock’ finally available on Netflix?

The American psychological horror series Castle Rock, inspired by characters, themes, and settings created by Stephen King, is finally available on Netflix. The show has over 2 seasons, with a total of 20 episodes. It was initially premiered on July 25, 2018 on the OTT platform Hulu. The second season was on air on October 23, 2019.

Unfortunately, Hulu is only available in the USA, which was restricting the mass broadcasting of the series. But that doesn’t mean there is no other way. Netflix recently announced that Castle Rock is finally available, but sadly, with only one season. They are working towards bringing the second one. Good news indeed for the horror series lovers. With availability, it is predicted that the show will gain a lot of popularity and attract a fanbase. Also, a huge deal for Netflix since it is a Hulu original. Now the question is, will this show be a competition to other Netflix horror originals like The Haunting of the Hill House?

Castle Rock’s plot revolves around the fictional town of Castle Rock, Maine, one of the most mentioned fictional locations in King’s books. It opens with a lawyer, Henry Deaver, who receives a call asking him to go back to his hometown Castle. A man was found in an abandoned block of the local penitentiary, kept captive by the former warden Dale Lacy, who eventually takes his own life. As the plot moves forward, Henry goes on to an adventure to figure out about the mysteries behind the imprisoned man, meanwhile discovering terrible secrets about him and everyone related to him.

The show is created by Sam Shaw and Dustin Thomanson and produced by Warner Bros. The anthology stars Andre Holland, Melanie Lynskey, Bill Skarsgard, Jane Levy, Sissy Spacek in the first season. The second season introduced Lizzy Caplan, Paul Sparks, Barkhad Abdi, Yusra Warsama, Elsie Fisher, Matthew Alan, and Tim Robbins.
