Last Night in Soho: Release Date, Trailer, and More!

Published

on

Last Night in Soho is an upcoming psychological horror movie that focuses on a wannabe fashion designer. Edgar Wright is the director for the film and also wrote the screenplay along with Krysty Wilson-Cairns. Wright also wrote the story for the movie. The film is produced by Working Title Films and will be distributed by Focus Features and Universal Pictures.

The film is said to be inspired by British horror films, like Roman Polanski’s Repulsion and Nicolas Roeg’s Don’t Look Now. The movie is a time travel horror, so it should be very exciting (and scary, obviously). What is the movie all about? Is it worth watching? When does it come out? Well, you gotta read more to find out!

Last Night in Soho: Cast and Plot

The movie is about a young wannabe fashion designer named Sandy. She somehow ends up in the 1960s and encounters her future idol, who is currently a wannabe singer but still has a dazzling, sizzling personality. However, 1960s London isn’t all stars and lovely drinks with a stranger; mysterious things start happening, all of which have consequences.

Anya Taylor-Joy, whose latest credits include Emma, Vampire Academy, and The Queen’s Gambit, is playing the main protagonist, Sandy. Thomasin Harcourt McKenzie plays Eloise, Sandy’s role model. Diana Rigg plays Miss Collins. Rigg died in September 2020, so it is her last film. Rita Tushingham plays Peggy Turner while Jessie Mei Li plays Lara. Synnove Karlsen plays Jocasta.

Margaret Nolan, who also has a role in the movie, passed away this October, so it is also the last movie for her. Matt Smith, Terrance Stamp, Michael Ajao, and Lisa McGrills also have roles in the movie.

Last Night in Soho: Release Date and Trailer

The film was originally scheduled to be released on September 25, 2020 but will now be released on April 23, 2021. Watch the trailer below:
