Mayans M.C. is a crime drama television series on FX, created by Kurt Sutter and Elgin James. The show takes place in the same fictional universe as that of the series Sons of Anarchy, which ended in 2014. The series follows the story of the Sons’ rivals-turned-allies, the Mayans Motorcycle Club. Mayans M.C. premiered on FX on September 4, 2018. The second season of the series premiered on September 3, 2019. Kurt Sutter and Norberto Barba serve as executive producers on the show. The premise of the series is this-

“Mayans M.C. is set hundreds of miles away in the fictional California border town of Santo Padre. The series focuses on the struggles of Ezekiel “EZ” Reyes, a prospect in the charter of the Mayans M.C. based on the U.S.–Mexico border. EZ is the gifted son of a proud Mexican family, whose American dream was snuffed out by cartel violence. Now, his need for vengeance drives him toward a life he never intended and can never escape.”

The returning cast members for season 3 of Mayans M.C. include J.D. Pardo as Ezekiel “EZ” Reyes; Clayton Cardenas as EZ’s older brother, Angel Reyes; Sarah Bolger as EZ’s childhood sweetheart, Emily Thomas; Michael Irby as the Presidente of Mayans M.C., Obispo “Bishop” Losa; Carla Baratta as the leader of Los Olvidados, Adelita; Richard Cabral as Johnny “El Coco” Cruz; Raoul Trujillo as Vice-Presidente of the Mayans M.C., Che “Taza” Romero; Danny Pino as Miguel Galindo; Edward James Olmos as Felipe Reyes; Emilio Rivera as Marcus Alvarez; Vincent “Rocco” Vargas as Gilberto “Gilly” Lopez; Frankie Loyal Delgado as Hank “El Tranq” Loza; Ray McKinnon as Lincoln “Linc” James Potter; and David Labrava as Happy Lowman.

One cast member who will not be returning for season 3 is Antonio Jaramillo, whose character Michael “Riz” Ariza was killed in season 2.

Release Date of Mayans M.C. Season 3

Season 1 of Mayans M.C. aired in September 2018. The second season aired in September 2019. So it only makes sense for season 3 to air in September 2020. However, its mid-October and we still don’t have any new episodes of the series. The coronavirus pandemic has affected the production of all scripted and unscripted TV shows on all networks. With production resuming only recently on a lot of shows across the TV industry, we can only expect that season 3 of Mayans M.C. will premiere some time in 2021.
