Netflix has dropped the first trailer for Cobra Kai season 3. The show follows rivals Johnny Lawrence and Daniel LaRusso as they train the new generation of karate kids.
The official synopsis for season 3 reads, “Season 3 finds everyone reeling in the aftermath of the violent high school brawl between their dojos, which has left Miguel in a precarious condition. While Daniel searches for answers in his past and Johnny seeks redemption, Kreese further manipulates his vulnerable students with his own vision of dominance. The soul of the Valley is at stake, and the fate of every student and sensei hangs in the balance.”
Most of the cast from Season 2 is returning from Season 3. Here’s who is confirmed to reprise their roles:
William Zabka as Johnny Lawrence, Ralph Macchio as Daniel LaRusso, Martin Kove and John Kreese, Xolo Maridueña as Miguel Diaz, Mary Mouser as Samantha LaRusso, Tanner Buchanan as Robby Keene, Courtney Henggeler as Amanda LaRusso, Jacob Bertrand as Hawk, Peyton List as Tory, Gianni Decenzo as Demitri, Vanessa Rubio as Carmen Diaz
The trailer begins with Miguel finally opening his eyes. After Johhny gives up Cobra Kai to John Kreese, it looks he would end the decade-old enmity with Daniel and join hands with him to end the end once and for all.
There has been a lot of praise for this return to the Karate Kid franchise. The third season would stream on Netflix from January and the exact date is yet to be revealed.
