VIRGIN RIVER

Based on the novels of the same name by Robyn Carr, and created by Sue Tenney, “Virgin River” is an American romantic drama television series starring Alexandra Breckenridge, Martin Henderson, and Tim Matheson, the first season of which premiered on December 6, 2019.

Searching for a fresh start, a nurse practitioner moves from LA to a remote northern California town and is surprised by what — and who — she finds.

In the latest season that premiered on Friday, July 9, 2021, on Netflix, Mel and her loved ones in Virgin River support each other while facing all sorts of troubles: death, a fire, custody arguments, breakups, and more.

Season three already has its work cut out for it since season two ended with at least one cliffhanger for almost every character. The next batch of episodes will need to address whether Mel and Jack are back together for good, the medical news Doc Mullins was about to share with Hope before they were interrupted by a surprise re-engagement party, how Preacher decides between staying in Virgin River or taking that new chef job in San Francisco, and, most urgently, who shot Jack (and, of course, if he even survives).
