Masters of Air: Release date, Cast, Plot, Trailer, and More!

In 2001, HBO miniseries Band of Brothers shattered every possible expectation, becoming and remaining one of the most beloved World War II stories. The showrunners followed up on the success nine years later with The Pacific, shifting the focus from the war’s European theater to the island-hopping tactics. And now it may strike a third time with Masters of the Air, based on the book of the same name by Donald L. Miller.
The genre of this tale is war as well as drama. Although, you all should probably know that the format of the show will be miniseries.

Masters of Air: Cast and Plot!

Band of Brothers and The Pacific both feature ensemble casts, so Masters of the Air will likely follow the trend. As of February 2021, however, only two actors have been confirmed for the upcoming series: Callum Turner and Austin Butler.
Turner is set to play Major John Egan, a member of the Eighth Air Force. Butler will portray another Eighth Air Force soldier: Major Gale Cleven.

The series will adapt its plot from the actions of the Eighth Air Force of the United States Army Air Forces during the Second World War. Playtone will produce this series.
This war epic tells the story of the actions of the US Army’s elite Eighth Air Force of the United States Army, who brought the war to Hitler’s doorstep by bombing Berlin, Hanover, Liepzig and Dresden, destroying enemy targets like rail facilities and oil refineries, while also being expected to engage in air-to-air fighter combat at 25,000ft. The missions were highly dangerous and produced many heroes.

Masters Of The Air has no release date yet but we’ll update as soon as we find out more from Apple TV+. We believe a worldwide air date sometime in 2022 will be most likely.
