Westworld Season 4: Release Date, Trailer and more!

Created by Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, Westworld is a dystopian science fiction neo-Western television series. It is based on the 1973 film of the same name and also inspired by the film’s sequel, Futureworld.

The first season was released on October 2, 2016 followed by the second on April 22, 2018. The third season was released on March 15, 2020 and the fourth season is scheduled to premiere soon. The show has received positive reviews from critics and currently holds an approval rating of 81% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Westworld Plot and Cast

The creators of Westworld had a plan of what would happen in the beginning and now since the hosts have left the park, the new season might be the end point of everyone’s favorite sentient robots.

If this is true, then all bets will be off since the war against humanity reaches a climax and promises better twists in the final episodes of Season 4. While speaking to The Hollywood Reporter about the themes of Season 3, Nolan said that the same might apply to the upcoming season. He said,

“I think it’s a radical shift. What’s compelling and appealing about these characters is that they’re not human. As we said in the show, humans are bound by the same loops the hosts are, in some ways even smaller.”

Coming to the cast, we might get to see Evan Rachel Wood, Thandiwe Newton, Jeffrey Wright, Luke Hemsworth, Simon Quarterman, Angela Sarafyan and others in the lead roles. There is a possibility that Ed Harris, Tessa Thompson, Fares Fares, Louis Herthum, Talulah Riley and other actors from the previous two seasons might return.

Westworld Season 4 Release Date

The makers of Westworld have not yet revealed a release date for the fourth season. However, reports say that the new season is planned to release sometime in 2022.

The number of episodes for Season 4 has not been disclosed as it has been different in the first two seasons. The rest of the details are expected to be announced soon.
