Industry Season 2: Release Date, Trailer and more!

Created by Mickey Down and Konrad Kay, Industry is a television drama series, produced for HBO and BBC Two. Mickey and Konrad are also the executive producers alongside Jane Tranter, Lachlan MacKinnon, David P. Davis, Ryan Rasmussen and Joel Collins.

The first season of the show premiered on November 9, 2020 and received positive reviews from critics. It currently holds an approval rating of 79% on Rotten Tomatoes and a score of 69 out of 100 on Metacritic. The series has been already renewed for a second season, scheduled to premiere soon.

Industry Plot and Cast

The first season focused on what the characters do to survive in their quite cutthroat new environment. For the character Harper, that meant bringing Eric back into the fold at the expense of Daria and also hindering Yasmin’s chances of moving desks.

Mickey Down said that Harper makes a pretty profound decision to advance her career, maybe at the cost of the relationships that she’s made throughout the season. He stated that they want to explore her negotiating what that decision means for her, her life in London and her relationship with the people closest to her, that include Yasmin and Eric.

Down also mentioned that they want to delve deeper into the reasoning why she went into the industry in the first place and why the four recruits went into this industry.

Coming to the cast, we should get to see Marisa Abela, Priyanga Burford, Mark Dexter, Myha’la Herrold, David Jonsson, Harry Lawtey and others in the lead roles.

Industry Season 2 Release Date

The first season of Industry premiered in November 2020 and it was renewed for a second season the following month. It’s been almost a year, so we can expect it to premiere sometime in 2022.

The upcoming season is expected to have ten episodes like Season 1. However, the makers are yet to provide an official confirmation on other details.
