Created by Luke Pearson, Hilda is an animated streaming television series. It is based on the graphic novel series of the same name by Pearson, who is also the executive producer of the show alongside Kurt Mueller, Stephanie Simpson, Clint Eland and Paula Rosenthal.

The first season premiered on Netflix on September 21, 2018 followed by the second season on October 8, 2018. The series has received positive reviews from critics and currently holds an approval rating of 100% on Rotten Tomatoes. The show has been renewed for a third and final season.

Hilda Plot and Cast

Hilda Season 2 ended on a cliffhanger where after escaping a troll-filled forest, Hilda’s mother found that her daughter has been replaced by a child troll named Baba. Hilda is left back in the troll forest stuck in the body of the troll.

Apart from everything, there are very little information on what the third season may offer to the viewers. However, it might end up being anything and might explore the unknowns of a mystical and magical world of what Hilda is about. Further information related to the plot of third season is yet to be revealed.

Coming to the cast, most of the leads from the first two seasons are expected to reprise their roles. This includes Bella Ramsey, Ameerah Falzon-Ojo, Oliver Nelson, Daisy Haggard, Ramsus Hardiker and others. Any other additions are expected to be announced soon.

The developers are yet to reveal an official release date for the third season of Hilda. The show was renewed for a third season in November 2021 and considering that, Season 3 is expected to premiere by the end of 2022.
