Evil Season 3: Release Date, Plot and more!

Created by Robert King and Michelle King, Evil is a supernatural drama television series. Robert and Michelle are also the executive producers alongside Liz Glotzer, Rockne S. O’Bannon, and Benedict Fitzgerald.

The first season of the series premiered on CBS on September 26, 2019 followed by the second season on June 20, 2021 on Paramount+. The series received positive reviews from critics and currently holds an approval rating of 92% on Rotten Tomatoes. Evil has been already renewed for a third season, scheduled to premiere soon.

Evil Plot and Cast

The basic premise of Evil follows two plots – the demon-of-the-week cases where David, Kristen and Ben investigate supernatural phenomena and the show’s larger mythology and more character-driven storylines which develop and change over each season.

The second season follows the leads to some dark places. Kristen killed a serial killer who threatened her daughters in the end of Season 1 whereas David struggles with doubts before his ordination, and Ben is being visited by a strange demon at night. They also investigate a potential plan to corrupt future generations by tampering with IVF treatments alongside figuring out their own personal beliefs in the realms of science and religion.

The second season ends with David’s ordination and immediate abrogation of his vows with Kristen. This is a cliffhanger that would be resolved in Season 3. The new season would feature new cases as the characters dig deeper into the show’s mythology and confront their own inclinations towards evil.

Coming to the cast, we should get to see Katja Herbers, Mike Colter, Aasif Mandvi, Kurt Fuller, Marti Matulis, Brooklyn Shuck, Skylar Gray, Maddy Crocco, Dayla Knapp, Christine Lahti and Michael Emerson in the lead roles.

Evil Season 3 Release Date

The second season of Evil premiered in June 2021 and it was renewed for a third season the following month. Paramount+ has confirmed that the third season will premiere on June 12, 2022.

The new season is expected to have 13 episodes like the first two seasons. Further details about Season 3 would be announced soon as the release date approaches.
