America’s Funniest Home Format and Cast
By giving America’s Funniest Home Videos a new season, ABC will need to keep getting lots of clips. But what’s interesting is that for season 33, AFV is also increasing the amounts of the weekly prizes. According to the sources, the cash prize for coming in first will go up to $20,000, second place will get $6,000, and third place will get $4,000.
Along with America’s Funniest Home Videos, two other ABC shows, Celebrity Wheel of Fortune and Shark Tank, have also been renewed. The three shows join another season of American Idol and The Bachelor in the non-scripted column. Based on how well this show did in the ratings last season, we think that there are some economic factors at play, which is why it was renewed for season 33.
Alfonso Ribeiro and Vin Di Bona, who is the show’s executive producer, will host the show this season. The show has had many hosts in the past, such as Tom Bergeron, D.L. Hughley, Richard Kind, Daisy Fuentes, and others.
