Created by Steve Martin and John Hoffman, Only Murders in the Building is an American mystery-comedy streaming television series. It was premiered on Hulu on August 31, 2021

It currently holds an approval rating of 100% on Rotten Tomatoes and has been already renewed for a second season on September 14, 2021, which premiered on June 28, 2022. The series received positive reviews from critics and considering that, the makers have renewed the series for a third season.

Since the series was recently renewed for a third season, we cannot say anything on what would happen in Season 3. However, it will continue from where Season 2 ended.

However, Hoffman teased a plot for the upcoming season stating that there is a lot of hope for Season 2 and everyone involved in the show has loved the experience. Hoffman stated that we can expect the main plot to be connected to the ending of Season 2, where the trio uncovered the identity of Bunny’s killer. He mentioned,

“We are very hopeful about a season three and as a little bit of a tease, the story lends itself at the end of our season two, so hang tight.”

Coming to the cast, the main leads of the first two seasons are expected to reprise their roles. This includes Steve Martin, Martin Short, Selena Gomez and others. Considering that it is a new season, we can expect to see some new faces.

The developers have not revealed a release date for Only Murders in the Building Season 3. Since the show was renewed for a third season this month, it should premiere sometime in 2023.

The upcoming season might consist of ten episodes like the first two seasons, although an official confirmation is awaited. It is distributed by Disney Platform Distribution.
