Is ‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’ returning any time soon?

The comedy television sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine’s producers already announced that they will be returning with season 8 a year back, even before the season 7 was aired. Because of the show’s popularity and demand, the fans are not ready to get over with the show. However, the shooting of the fresh season has not been started because of the pandemic so the official release date has not been announced yet. The fans might need to wait for another year.

The previous season ended with a good note, with Captain returning to his former authority, Jake and Amy having their child, second Jimmy Jabs, Jake being the best man of Doug Judy and many more. We can expect a lot many things in the new season, like new working parents managing their work and the new born, supportive and funny Uncle Charles talking about his brotherhood to Jake’s son, Rosa’s parents accepting her sexuality and the detectives solving many more crimes. Brooklyn Nine-Nine never fails to surprise us.

The NBC series deals with a group of detectives in Brooklyn’s 99th precinct- Jake, Amy, Charles, Rosa, Terry, Hitchcock, Scully, Captain Holt and an administrative civilian Gina, even though Gina was only uptill season 6. The seriousness of a police precinct is lightened with humour and sarcasms and the detectives solving various crimes, taking them to different paths, with ups and downs, with a side of romance. The show stands out because of it’s “breaking the stereotypes”, such as a openly gay black officer at higher authority, women taking leads, no racism or racist jokes, a criminal being friends with a cop, women’s safety, taking stand against homophobia, parental issues, and the list goes on.
