The wait for the series is about to end next month. The show will premiere on January 14 on Netflix. The show consists of 8 one-hour episodes.

Archive 81: Cast and Crew

The show stars Mamadou Athie as Dan Turner, Dina Shibabi as Melody Pendras. Other cast members include Martin Donovan as Virgil, Matt McGorry as Mark, Julia Chan as Annabelle, Evan Jonigkeit as Samuel and Ariana Neal as Jess.

Rebecca Sonnenshine is the showrunner of the show while James Wan is executive producer. Atomic Monster Productions is producing the show. Paul Harris Boardman developed the original script of the show and will also executive produce the show. The creators of the original podcast Marc Sollinger and Daniel Powell will also be producers of the new series.

The official synopsis of the show says, “Archive 81 follows archivist Dan Turner, who takes a job restoring a collection of damaged videotapes from 1994. Reconstructing the work of a documentary filmmaker named Melody Pendras, he is drawn into her investigation of a dangerous cult at the Visser apartment building. As the season unfolds across these two timelines, Dan slowly finds himself obsessed with uncovering what happened to Melody. When the two characters form a mysterious connection, Dan becomes convinced he can save her from the terrifying end she met 25 years ago.”
