Created by Brad Simpson, and starring Kristen Kreuk, “Burden of Truth” is a Canadian investigative drama about life-altering legal cases. HERE’S EVERYTHING WE KNOW ABOUT SEASON 4!
The last and final season premiered on Friday, July 30, 2021, on The CW.
After winning her case, she discovers the girls are sicker than anyone thought. Otherwise healthy young women have been overcome with uncontrollable twitches and seizures, making life unlivable. They need help. Joanna also realizes she may have unresolved personal business in town. Even though she’s a successful partner in a big law firm, she can’t ignore the feeling that something in her life is not right. She becomes convinced all the answers she’s seeking about her broken life can be found in her old hometown. And if she’s going to fix herself, she has to start where it all began – with uncovering all of her family’s deepest secrets.
Representatives for the show took to its Facebook page on Thursday to confirm the news. “We are so proud of the stories we’ve been able to tell each season, especially those related to social justice,” they said. “We’re also tremendously appreciative of the support we’ve received from our fans worldwide, and are particularly grateful to the communities in Winnipeg and Selkirk, Manitoba, for being so welcoming to our crew.”
“When we began this season, we knew our story was coming to its natural end with a meaningful conclusion for Joanna, Billy, and the entire cast of characters. We’re thankful to…our tremendous cast, helmed by Kristin Kreuk and Peter Mooney, for bringing ground-breaking stories to life,” said executive producer Ilana Frank, ICF Films, along with EPs Linda Pope and Kyle Irving, of Eagle Vision.
