Developed by Jason Tracey, CSI: Vegas is a crime television series. It is based on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation by Anthony E. Zuiker and is the fifth series in the CSI franchise. Tracey is also the executive producer alongside Anthony E. Zuiker, Cynthia Chvatal, Jerry Bruckheimer, Jonathan Littman, KristieAnne Reed, and many others.

The first season of the series premiered on October 6, 2021, and received positive reviews from critics. It currently holds an approval rating of 82% on Rotten Tomatoes and despite being promoted as a limited series. On December 15, 2021, CBS renewed the series for a second season.

CSI: Vegas Season 2 Release Date

After more than five months of wait, the network has officially confirmed that the series will return this year by disclosing that CSI: Vegas Season 2 will be premiering new episodes on Thursday, September 29, 2022.

CSI: Vegas Season 2 will most likely be available on all prior platforms that have the rights to stream the series, as well as on-air on the CBS channel on Thursday at 10 p.m. Moreover, the first season of CSI: Vegas is currently available to stream on Apple TV, Paramount+, and fuboTV.

CSI: Vegas Plot and Cast

The plot details for CSI: Vegas Season 2 has not been revealed yet. This means that the second season might combine a victim of the week plot with an overarching umbrella story involving the entire team.

Following the usual format of CSI, there will be a new corpse in each episode and the team would apply their forensic skills to the case. The crime will take them in a surprising direction, and probably bring an unknown facet of a character’s personal life to light.

The overarching plot will threaten the entire team and require teamwork from the entire squad to solve the issue. Relationships will naturally break or fall apart, crimes will be solved and fans would stay preached on the edges of their seats as each fresh moment plays out before their delighted eyes.

Coming to the cast, it has been confirmed that Jorja Fox, William Petersen, and Mel Rodriguez won’t return to reprise their roles. So for now, we can expect to see Paula Newsome, Matt Lauria, Mandeep Dhillon, Paul Guilfoyle, Wallace Langham, Chelsey Crisp, Jamie McShane, Jay Lee, Sarah Gilman, Sean James, Kat Foster, and Robert Curtis Brown.
