Created by Brian Young, Fate: The Winx Saga is a teen drama series that premiered on Netflix on 22 January 2021. It is based on the Nickelodeon animated series Winx Club, which was created by Iginio Straffi.

Young is also the executive producer alongside Judy Counihan, Kris Thykier, Cristiana Buzzelli, and Joanne Lee. The six-episode first season gets critical reviews from the critics and was renewed for a second season and set to fall in 2022.

Fate: The Winx Saga Season 2 Release Date

On 18 February 2021, Netflix renewed the series for a second season to consist of eight episodes. The second season was later confirmed to consist of seven episodes and has been scheduled for release on 16 September 2022.

The show peaked at #2 on Nielsen’s Streaming Charts on the week of January 25 with 918 million minutes in viewership, trailing only Bridgerton at 936 million. On April 20, 2021, Netflix reported that 57 million of subscribers watched the series for the first 28 days after its release.

Fate: The Winx Saga Plot and Cast

A dark cloud has descended over Alfea College, as Headmistress Rosalind took over after murdering her predecessor Farah.

Netflix has yet to release any kind of plot details or synopsis for Fate: The Winx Saga season 2, but it will be interesting to see what will happen in the second installment of the fantasy drama.

Rosalind has gotten away with murder by snapping Farrah’s neck after she was released by Bloom and has cast a dark cloud over Alfea college. Silva is in custody for the attempted murder of Andreas, who isn’t even dead, and according to Rosalind, War is coming leaving a lot of great things set to occur in the upcoming season.

The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina’s Abigail Cowen, who plays Bloom, will most assuredly be back for season 2. Elisha Applebaum, Eliot Salt, and Precious Mustapha, according to the Variety report.

Others that should return include Hannah van der Westhuysen, Danny Griffin, Rob James-Collier, Kate Fleetwood, Alex MacQueen, Lesley Sharp, Freddie Thorp, and Jacob Dudman, among many other talented individuals. Eve Best, who plays Farah, did not survive season one, so it’s unlikely she’ll be back for the new season.

The streamer also welcomed three new members of the cast. Brandon Grace will play Grey, Éanna Hardwicke will play Sebastian and Paulina Chávez will play Flora. Check them out in the set photos above.
