Created by Ryan Murphy, Jaffe Cohen, and Michael Zam, Feud is a docudrama television series. Murphy is also the executive producer alongside Dede Gardner, Tim Minear, and Alexis Martin Woodall.

The first season of the series premiered on March 5, 2017. It was conceived as an anthology series and received positive reviews from critics. It currently holds an approval rating of 91% on Rotten Tomatoes and scored 81 out of 100 on Metacritic. The makers have already renewed the show for a second season.

According to recent updates, Naomi Watts will appear in the second season of Feud and will play the role of socialite Barbara “Babe” Paley, who fell out with famed writer Truman Capote in 1975 after Esquire published an excerpt of his unfinished book Answered Prayers, a thinly veiled tell-all about New York City’s Elite.

The excerpt La Cfrom one Basque 1965 included intimate details about Babe’s unhappy marriage to CBS founder William S. Paley. Following its publication, Capote’s formerly close circle of wealthy female friends who the author affectionately called his “swans” – shut it out.

The upcoming season will be based on Laurence Leamer’s book Capote’s Women: A True Story of Love, Betrayal, and a Swan Song for an Era, with Good Will Hunting’s Gus Van Sant attached to direct. Except for fort Naomi Watts, other lead cast members for the new season are expected to be announced soon by the makers.

Feud Season 2 Release Date

Feud was renewed for a second season a long time back in 2017. As mentioned earlier, the makers have offered a lot of updates about the new season and considering that, the second season should release by the end of 2023.

The upcoming season might consist of eight episodes like the first season and the rest of the details shall be announced soon. An official confirmation on the release date and cast members is awaited.
