Developed by Will McRobb, Harriet the Spy is an American animated television series. The show has been developed for Apple TV+. The show is loosely based on the book of the same name by Louise Fitzhugh. The executive producers of the show include Lisa Henson, Halle Stanford, Nancy Steingard, Wendy Moss Klein, John W. Hyde, and Will McRobb. Apple Studios, Postworks New York, The Jim Henson Company, Wellsville Pictures, and Titmouse, Inc. are the production companies involved with the show.

Harriet the Spy Plot and Cast

The basic premise of the show revolves around the life of an 11 years old girl, who is a writer and very eager to find the next big story and fulfill her dreams of becoming a writer. As of the article writing, there are no certain details available regarding the storyline of Harriet the Spy Season 2 however we can expect it to pick up the story from where it left off in the previous season.

Coming to the upcoming cast members, it includes Beanie Feldstein as Harriet M. Welsch, Lacey Chabert as Marion Hawthorne, Jane Lynch as Catherine Myrtle “Willa” Galliano, Kimberly Brooks as Janie Gibbs, Grey Griffin as Mrs. Welsch, Crispin Freeman as Mr. Welsch, Bumper Robinson as Mr. Gibbs, Charlie Schlatter as Simon “Sport” Rocque, and others. The makers of the show might introduce some new characters to add drama to the show however there is no official statement made on that yet.

Harriet the Spy Season 2 Release Date

The first season of the show was released on November 19, 2021, and concluded on May 20, 2022. The first season consisted of ten episodes in total.

Later the show got renewed for a second season which is scheduled to release on May 5, 2023. The second season is also expected to have the same number of an episode as the first season.
