Has Netflix dropped the release date of The Stranger Season 2?

The Stranger is Netflix’s original British series showcasing the genre of mystery and thriller. The mystical series casts a few of the brilliant actors of the British Entertainment industry including Hanna John-Kamen, an alum of  Ant-man and the wasp. The first season of the series was premiered on Netflix Streaming platform on 30th January 2020 and since then fans want the second season soon. They released all the episodes at once and hence, fans binge-watched it and now are greedy for the second installment of the show.

The Stranger 2 cast

Though the official cast has not been out yet, however, it is said that some of the actors are going to come back for the second installment. Corinne Price, wife of Adam Price and mother of Thomas and Ryan Price, played by Dervla Kirwan; Heidi Doyle, played by Jennifer Saunders; and Doug Tripp, played by Shaun Dooley, are said to be in the second installment of the show.

The Stranger 2 release date

The release date of the show has not made official yet. It is not wrong to say that the makers of the show have not thought of it due to COVID-19. However, looking at the plot, it certainly looks like there is going to be another season. But we still have to wait for the date to be announced yet. Till now it is pure speculation.

Harlen Coben, an award-winning author, and the author of the novel The Stranger, in an interview with Digital Spy, spilled the beans by stating that there was going to be only one season according to the story written by him. However, as far as the makers are concerned, they will make another season.

He went to another side of the tunnel by saying – “We don’t think it’s fair to have one of those shows where they don’t give you all the answers, and you have to wait until season two before you get it.”

He continues – “This is a closed story. You learned all the answers by the end, and the ending is tremendously satisfying.”
