Created by Oscar Jaenada, Hernán is a Spanish, Nahuatl and Maya language historical drama streaming television series. The show first premiered on Amazon Prime Video on November 21, 2019.
The series has received positive reviews from critics and has been rated 7.5/10 on IMDb. It has been already renewed for a second season, which is scheduled to premiere soon. The show is being produced by Television Azteca, Onza Entertainment and Dopamine, and distributed by A&E Networks International.

Hernán Plot and Cast
The makers of Hernán have not revealed a lot of details about the plot of Season 2. However, it is expected to continue from where Season 1 ended.
It is focused on the conquest of continental America and the meeting of two civilizations led by Captain Hernán Cortes. Throughout the show, viewers discovered the story of Cortes and explains how the conquest of an entire continent was shaped by his character and charisma.
It is the first Spanish language series distributed by A+E, adding to which they said that it is a continued period of growth in the international scripted co-production and foreign-language space across many territories, cultures and languages.
Coming to the cast, the lead actors of Season 1 are expected to reprise their roles in Season 2. The cast members of the first season includes Oscar Jaenada, Dagoberto Gama, Ishbel Bautista, Jorge Antonio Guerrero, Mitzi Mabel Cadena, Michel Brown, Victor Clavijo, Almagro San Miguel, Miguel Angel Amor and Isabel Luna.
Hernán Season 2 Release Date
The release date for Hernán Season 2 has not been revealed yet by the makers. Filming for the second season started in January 2020, and considering that, Season 2 should release sometime in 2022.
The new season is expected to have eight episodes like Season 1. However, the makers are yet to disclose additional information about the second season.
