Do you remember Scrubs? The medical comedy series on ABC. One of the brilliant creations of Bill Lawrence Scrubs debuted on NBC and continued until 2018. Then it moved to ABC for an additional two seasons. And now Hulu, the streamer of Scrubs announced the removal of three episodes from the TV show. The reason behind the same is the recent #Black_Lives_Matter campaigns. And the streaming service Hulu Removes Three Episodes featuring Blackface from ABC’s Scrubs! Know more about the removal here.

ABC Studios and producers of the hilarious show requested the streaming service to remove the disputed episodes. Taking up the requests, Hulu removed three episodes. In those episodes, the characters were wearing black faces.

What made Hulu Remove Scrub’s Episodes?

A fan took to Twitter stating the Variety report on removing scenes from ’30 Rock.’ The fan wanted similar scenes to be cut from Scrubs. The show’s creator Bill Lawrence answered, “Agreed. Already in works.” That’s when the parent TV and producers requested Hulu to remove the episodes featuring their lead characters wearing blackface.

What are the Episodes Removed?

Season 3’s ‘My Friend the Doctor’, Season 5’s ‘My Jiggly Ball’, and ‘My Chopped Liver’ are the episodes removed from the streaming platform. In these platforms, Zach Braff who plays the show’s lead J.D wears blackface at a party. Elliot played by Sarah Chalke wears blackface in a fantasy scene. Owing to these depictions, Hulu removed three episodes from the most outstanding TV show Scrubs.

If you love comedy, Scrubs is the most amazing choice. But this ABC show concentrates on comedy acts by many characters at the Sacred Heart hospital. Zach Braff, Donald Faison, John C.McGinley, and Sarah Chalke entertain us with their funny acts. And the creator of this amazing show is Bill Lawrence. Eagle, Turkleton, Hooch is crazy, and Elliot’s Bad Luck are some other episodes that you cannot ignore to watch.

What are Similar Events?

After Scrubs and Fey’s ’30 Rock’, many celebrities around Hollywood apologized for their past incidents. Jimmy Kimmel apologized for wearing blackface in the past. And Jenny Slate also expressed her concerns after exiting from Big Mouth and apologizing for voicing the Blackface.

But with these happenings, streaming services should start becoming more careful in handling their products. And they have to undergo a revision of already published shows and movies. And they must handle the portrayal of races in their shows carefully. So, Hollywood must be more vigilant from now on.
