Even though OPPO Reno is barely four months, the Chinese manufacturer is gearing up for its successor. Dubbed as the OPPO Reno2, the company recently send official press invites to the media. Today OPPO released the first video teasers for the upcoming Reno2 series.
The released video teasers show some features of Reno2 smartphones. The first video highlights the 20x digital zoom while the second video focuses on the Ultra Steady Mode that allows you to shoot clear steady videos. The phone in the video has a blue surfaced finish.
From the previously released posters, the upcoming Reno2 will feature a full-screen display, extremely slim bezels and a small chin. It will have no notch or punch hole and will retain the shark fin selfie camera. The Reno2 will sport a quad-camera setup this time around. This is a good upgrade to the dual and triple-camera on the OPPO Reno and Reno 10x Zoom respectively.
OPPO Reno2 features
The upcoming Reno2 series will likely to have multiple devices similar to the current Reno series. The higher model will feature an improved 20X zoom, which is an upgrade from the 10X zoom from its predecessor.
The Reno2 series was rumoured to debut with the OPPO’s in-screen selfie camera. But OPPO’s VP Brian Shen already clarified on his Weibo microblog that it will not be the case.
OPPO Reno2 may come with a 6.43-inch AMOLED full-view display. It is expected to pack a 4,065mAh battery with support for VOOC fast charging.
OPPO Reno2 Camera
A new leak from an account name Fengchao Technology on Weibo has revealed the camera specs of the handset. It claims that the OPPO Reno2 will pack a 48MP primary camera, assisted by a 13MP telephoto lens that will facilitate the 20X zoom. The third sensor is an 8MP super-wide lens aided with a 2MP monochrome sensor. Unfortunately no other information like aperture, pixel size is mentioned.
OPPO will unveil the Reno2 on August 28 at an event in New Delhi. It will be interesting to see what the new Reno smartphones have to offer.
