Paper Girls: Release Date, Trailer and more!

Amazon Prime Video is bringing a brand new series, Paper Girls is an American science fiction drama television series. The series is based on the comic book series of the same name written by Brian K. Vaughan.

Although filming of Paper Girls was to commence on March 1, 2021, it was postponed to May 17, 2021. The filming was wrapped up by October 1, 2021. The show is being produced by Amazon Studios, Legendary Television and Plan B Entertainment.

Paper Girls Plot and Cast

Paper Girls is based on the mystery sci-fi comic book series by Vaughan and illustrated by Chiang. The original comic book series follows the story of four 12-year-old newspaper delivery girls who on the morning of Halloween are struck by an invasion of a mysterious force. The synopsis for the Amazon series reads:

“Paper Girls, from Image Comics, follows four young girls who, while out delivering papers on the morning after Halloween in 1988, become unwittingly caught in a conflict between warring factions of time-travelers, sending them on an adventure through time that will save the world. As they travel between our present, the past, and the future — they encounter future versions of themselves and now must choose to embrace or reject their fate.”

Now talking about the cast, it includes Sofia Rosinsky as Mac Coyle, Camryn Jones as Tiffany Quilkin, Riley Lai Nelet as Erin Tieng, Ali Wong as Adult Erin, Fina Strazza as KJ Brandman, and Nate Corddry as Larry.

Paper Girls Release Date

It has been a long time since Paper Girls completed their filming. For now, we can definitely expect it to release sometime towards the end of 2022.

The number of episodes for the upcoming show is also not confirmed. Further information about the new series is yet to be announced by the makers.
