Rap Sh!t: Release Date, Plot and more!
Created by Issa Rae, Rap Sh!t is an upcoming American comedy streaming television series. The show is produced by Hooray Productions and 3 Arts Entertainment and centers on two Miami-based rappers. Issa Rae also served as executive producer of the show along with Syreeta Singleton, Dave Becky, Jonathan Barry, Montreal McKay, Yung Miami and JT of City Girls, Kevin “Coach K” Lee, Pierre “P” Thomas and Sara Rastogi.
The series debuted at the American Black Film Festival on June 18, 2022, and is scheduled to be released on July 21, 2022, on HBO Max.

Rap Sh!t Plot and Cast
Judging by the trailer, it seems the gist of the plot is about two women who grow tired of working their own 9 to 5 jobs and seeing “subpar” rappers making lots of money. Wanting to change their financial situation and feeling as if they can do at the very least what they see their male counterpart rappers do, they unite to form a hip-hop duo. Time will tell if their leap of faith in the music industry will pay off.
The main cast includes Aida Osman, KaMillion, Jonica Booth, Devon Terrell and RJ Cyler. We will also get to see Ashlei Sharpe Chestnut, Daniel Augustin, Amandla Java, Jaboukie Young-White, Brittney Jefferson and Dominque Perry in recurring roles.
Rap Sh!t Release Date
The Issa Rae-produced series will release its first two episodes on July 21. The eight-episode season will release new episodes weekly on Thursdays until the finale, which airs on September 1, 2022.
Rap Sh!t is an HBO Max original series and can only be viewed in the US with a subscription to the streaming service. Those interested in watching the series will need to subscribe to HBO Max.
