Fans around the world will be delighted to hear that Saved by the Bell (Season 2) is coming soon! After a successful first season, the American sitcom will resume streaming on the platform Peacock. The new season, developed by Tracey Wigfield will feature 10 new episodes. This show is a remake of the original TV series of the same name from 1989. Therefore, newer and older fans alike can enjoy the show and its positive sense of humor. Season one was met with critical acclaim and much love from the audience, and we can hope for a similar response this time around.
Saved by the Bell (Season 2): Plot and Cast
The show follows some of the same characters as its parent material. To make up for the backlash he received for closing down too many low-income schools, California governor Zack Morris sends the underprivileged students to the highest-funded schools. This includes Bayside High. The inundation of low-income students among the privileged ones makes for an interesting and enjoyable dichotomy. The less-than-privileged students such as the protagonist Daisy Jiménez give wealthy kids like Mac Morris a taste of what the reality of the world truly is. We can expect to see Mac grow out from his father’s shadow and carve his own niche. Also, Jamie may lean more on Lexi for emotional support after his parent’s divorce.
As for the cast, the show will feature Haskiri Velazquez as Daisy, Mitchell Hogg as Mac Morris, Dexter Darden as DeVante Alycia Pascual-Peña as Aisha, Josie Totah as Lexi, and Belmont Cameli as Jamie Spano. Original cast member Lark Voorhies will also appear as Lisa Turtle in this season.
