The 100: The Trippy End To The Seven Years’ Journey

It’s been 7 years and 6 seasons since The 100 first premiered on Mar 2020. The post-apocalyptic science fiction drama has evolved with every season.

The show began where a group of teenagers raised in space was sent down to Earth. They were the first ones to arrive since the nuclear apocalypse. Now, seven seasons later, fighting for the survival of the human race once again that too on a new planet.

And now, the inevitable end to an epic journey is near. So, are you ready? It’s coming either way, so it’s wise to get prepared for it.

Where Did We End?

As season six ended, Clarke and co. had destroyed the Flame and gained control of Sanctum, defeating Russell and his Prime family but not yet winning over all the people who still worship them, who are now all mixed in with the Children of Gabriel and the Eligius prisoners. We Repeat! Revise the previous seasons before you go ahead with the Season 7.

The season 7 premiered tonight and picked up pretty much where it left in season 6. The premiere showcased some quality acting from Bob Morley at the beginning of the episode. If you have not watched/revised the season 6 finale, now is the time to do so.

What To Expect From Final Season?

Talking to E, the showrunner of The 100 – Jason Rothenberg said “I would say it’s, I think, a fitting conclusion to what’s been an epic journey for seven years, six seasons, for these characters that our fans have come to love,” he says. “And I will say that if you’ve never watched the show, it might be difficult to pick it up in season seven. So you’ve got some homework to do on Netflix.”

“I think this season is a sort of punctuation mark on the story,” he continues. “I would say that the end of the story is the meaning of that story, so this year we get to say what it’s been about this whole time.”

Fans of The 100 have kept faith in Jason Rothenberg for a long time. The end of the beginning wouldn’t seize to surprise either.
