Netflix featured teen rom-com The Kissing Booth is up for its second part. The OTT platform announced about the upcoming movie last year but no official release date has been announced yet. It might get delayed due to the pandemic and fans are going crazy about it.
The Kissing Booth has been one of the most re-watched movies on Netflix. It is said that the shooting is already over but the post-production is a bit late. The most exciting part is that Joey King would be taking to YouTube Live event on Thursday, May 21, at 4pm PT, 7 pm ET with some friends to “share secrets for the upcoming sequel”.
The 2018 film is based on the novel The Kissing Booth by Beth Reekles. The plot talks about two best friends, Elle and Lee, who have a strict policy of “no dating each other’s relatives or family members”, especially Lee’s elder brother Noah. Eventually, the trio, Elle, Lee, and Noah, forms a connection. The title of the movie owes to the event when the best friends built a kissing booth for fundraising. There Elle accidentally kisses Noah, which leads to the formation of their relationship. They set up a few rules and regulations, where they also include that they won’t be disclosing their relationship to anyone, not even to Lee. They both go through various ups and downs and cracking relations up.
Now the question is, whether the new couple will be able to continue their romance, with the unexpected long-distance relationship? What new obstacles will come between them? Part 2 will be indeed interesting.
The Kissing Booth part 1 stars Joey King as Elle, Joel Courtney as Lee, Jacob Elordi as Noah, along with Stephen Jennings as Elle’s father, Carson White as Elle’s brother, Molly Ringwald as Mrs.Flynn, and Morne Visser as Mr.Flynn. The producers did not disclose any introduction to new characters as of yet.
