Developed by Eric Kripke for Amazon Prime Video, The Boys is an American black comedy action superhero drama television series. It is based on the comic book of the same name by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, which DC Comics originally published and premiered in July 2019.

Kripke is also the executive producer of the series alongside Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, Neal H. Moritz, Pavun Shetty, Ori Marmur, and more are there. The series has four seasons, and the developers have renewed the series for another season, which will be released soon.

The Boys Plot and Cast

Although the makers have not revealed the storyline of the new season, Season 4 is expected to feature a war between Billy Butcher and Homelander. Now there is a possibility that Butcher might release a deadly virus to take down the supes. Season 4 will show Victoria Neuman getting closer to the Oval Office. Buthcer has a few months to live and has also lost Becca’s son alongside his duty as the leader of The Boys.

The reason has been the rest of the team members who are frustrated by his lies. In between all these, the world needs to be saved from danger. The fifth season might cover the aftermath of the effect of the virus on mankind.

The new season’s cast will depend on who survives the deadly virus in season 4. Since season 4 has not ended yet, no news is available for the cast. Currently, it includes Karl Urban as Billy Butcher, Antony Starr as Homelander, Jack Quaid as Hughie Campbell, Jessie T. Usher as A-Train, Laz Alonso as Mother’s Milk, Erin Moriarty as Annie January, Karen Fukuhara as Kimiko Miyashiro, Chace Crawford as The Deep, Tomer Capone as Frenchie, Colby Minifie as Ashley Barrett, Claudia Doumit as Victoria Neuman, and more.

The Boys Season 5 Release Date

Ahead of the fourth season release, the developers have renewed the series for a fifth season but have not announced an official release date. The fourth season will be released on June 13, 2024, and will be ended on July 18.

The release date for the new season will be available after the fourth season.  We hope that the upcoming season might be released sometime in 2025.
