‘The Flash’ is a series developed by Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg, and Geoff Johns. It is an American superhero television series.
It is based on the DC Comics character Barry Allen/Flash. Barry Allen is said to be the reinvention of a previous character called ‘The Flash’. And this character first appeared in the 1940’s comics.
The series is a spin-off of another series ‘Arrow’, which is available on Netflix. ‘Arrow’ is also from the same fictional universe. It is known as ‘Arrowverse’.

‘The Flash’ has an immense fanbase and following, The viewership of the series in North America in October 2017, marked as the second-most-watched premiere after ‘The Vampire Diaries’. In 2014, the series had received People’s choice award for “Favorite New TV drama”.
‘The Flash’ has released 5 seasons to date. And until now it aired on The CW, however, it will soon be releasing on Netflix.

Now, talking about the release date of the series on Netflix. Season 6 as known to us will end on the 19th of May. Hence, it is said that the show might show up on Netflix on the 27th of May.
