Developed by Matt Manfredi and Phil Hay, The Mysterious Benedict Society is a mystery adventure television series. It is based on the children’s books by Trenton Lee Stewart.

The show’s first season premiered on Disney+ on June 25, 2021, and received positive reviews from critics and audiences. It currently holds an 86% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes and the series has already been renewed for another season.

The Mysterious Benedict Society Plot and Cast

The new season of The Mysterious Benedict Society would pick up from where the team of four intrepid orphans reunites a year after their first mission while being assembled by Mr. Benedict and his cohorts to foil the Emergency created by Benedict’s twin brother Dr. L.D. Curtain.

The orphans now must embark on a perilous journey where they would rely on their wits, intellect, and empathy to try to stop Curtain as he shifts to a new strategy with global implications.

The basic premise of the series is set during a global crisis called “The Emergency”. Mr. Benedict is a talented and smart individual and recruits four kids for a dangerous mission to infiltrate the Learning Institute for Veritas and Enlightenment on Nomansan Island.

The institute is a school run by Dr. L.D. Curtain who is sending messages that infiltrate an individual’s subconscious using children, allowing him to slip ideas and thoughts into people’s minds. Mr. Benedict sends the four kids he recruited into The Institute to stop the nefariousness and save the world from Dr. Curtain’s machinations.

Coming to the cast, we might get to see Tony Hale, Kristen Schaal, MaameYaa Boafo, Ryan Hurst, Gia Sandhu, and Mystic Inscho in the lead roles. There is a possibility that Seth B. Carr, Emmy DeOliveira, and Marta Kessler might return to reprise their roles.

The Mysterious Benedict Society Season 2 Release Date

The series debuted on June 25, 2021, with a two-episode premiere. It consisted of 8 episodes and ran until August 6, 2021. The second season will premiere on October 26, 2022, with the first two episodes.

New episodes of the series will drop every Wednesday after means October 26, 2022. It is expected to have eight episodes like Season 1 and the rest shall be revealed in the next few days.
