From the creator of “Two-A-Days” Jason Sciavicco, “Titletown High” is a sports reality series following the winningest high school football program in the country, the first season of which premieres Friday, August 27, 2021, on Netflix.
WHAT IS “TITLETOWN HIGH”?
Set in Valdosta, a Georgia town where football rules and winning is paramount, a high school team tackles romance, rivalries and real-life while vying for a title. Filled with vigour, high stakes sports action and school teenage drama, the show chronicles the Valdosta Wildcats as they navigate rivalries, relationships, and school while trying to clinch the state championship.
The summary of the first episode ‘It’s All About Your Legacy’ reads: One game away from playing for a state title, the Wildcats give it their all under the Friday night lights. Audio recordings of Coach Propst are leaked.
“When you take a school like that with so much tradition and history and then you bring a guy like Rush Propst in, we kind of knew what we were going to get as far as high-level football and a lot of pressure and demands on these kids,” Sciavicco said. “That leads to good TV with being able to tell on the field and off the field stories.”
