Netflix recently released the posters for Umbrella Academy Season 2 and the internet is going crazy with theories and questions! Season 2 is said to release on July 31, 2020. The show is created by Steve Blackman and is based on the comic book series of the same name. The story revolves around a dysfunctional family of adopted sibling superheroes. They reunite for their father’s funeral and try to uncover secrets about their family. They are also warned by Number Five about an impending global apocalypse.
Season 1 ended with the ‘Umbrella Academy’ transporting back in time, to teenagers. They do this because Five suggests that they go back in time to stop the Apocalypse as a team. Season 2 is expected to answer several questions that we have. The most important being, ‘Where did the siblings go?’ ‘What happened to them?’ and ‘When are the siblings?’

The posters, at first glance, seem normal but if you observe closely the siblings are not in order. All the siblings have a number from one to seven. But when the posters were released by Umbrella Academy’s official account, they weren’t in order. The seven siblings are Luther/One(Tom Hopper), Diego/Two(David Castaneda), Allison/Three(Emmy Raver-Lampman), Klaus/Four(Robert Sheehan), Number Five(Aidan Gallagher), Ben/Six(Justin H. Min) and Vanya/Seven(Ellen Page). But they were released as Six, Four, Three, One, Two, Seven, and Number Five.
Another thing to note is the blood on Five’s face. Blood is splattered only on his face and only he has a smile on his face among the lot. What does this mean?
One important factor of season 2 is time so have the siblings got lost in time? It could also mean that the siblings have gone to different periods. The siblings are also donning new outfits! Diego is the only sibling who holds another object apart from the umbrella. What could it be and why does he have an additional object? All our questions can only be answered in season 2 and thankfully we don’t have a long wait ahead!
