Highlighting Justin’s death
Justin contracted HIV during the initial seasons. His only issue was there had been no diagnosis. In the fourth season, friends saw him in intensive care. He later died leaving Clay in unavoidable remorse. As usual with all the other seasons, there is no twist here. He dies, a family mourns, death continues to haunt. Such is the plot of 13 Reasons Why.
Everlasting Relationships
We don’t know if Jessica would ever have a long-lasting relationship with any of her boyfriends. We find her confronting with Bryce who is already dead. One good news is she tested negative for HIV. Even Diego passed the test. He asks her out but later understands. He wants her to come out of Justin’s memories and love. Soon, Jessica’s focus point turns out to be love. She is seen with full hope and is charming as always.
There are other improvements in the relationship levels too. Tony and Caleb is the most celebrated couple because they carry their united hearts for too long. Tyler goes on a date with Estela, which later turns out to be an actual relationship. Alex and Charlie become stronger than ever.
Winston’s Detective Works
Winston is really close to the truth. He almost figured out that Jessica killed Bryce. But he also pays attention to Alex’s explanations after Justin’s funeral. He believed her because Alex put forth her points in a more convincing way. It seems that finally, Alex managed to get away with the assassination. The sheriff is fully aware of the Deputy’s cover-up- destruction and concealment of case documents- in order to save his son from the allegations.
What is Clay doing?
Clay, our protagonist still depends on his psychiatrist to get rid of his problems. Supernatural forces of his friends continue to haunt him. Besides, he is also confused with the lookalike of Hannah. He considers Hannah to be the catalyst for all problems right from the beginning. The show puts our protagonist Clay in a dire situation, in poor mental health, and whatnot. He is also full of grief which has no curable medicine.
Happy Ending
The show ended happily for many problematic characters. Now GPA, higher education, career, job, settlement seem to occupy the minds of the happy-go-lucky students. Ryan and Courtney are living the post-high school lives that many envy. With a happy note, the show closes. We don’t know if 13 Reasons Why enters their adult lives also. We must wait and watch. 13 Reasons Why Season 4 Ending: Things you should know!
