After the popular Paramount show, Yellowstone received praise from critics, the prequel series 1883 is set to be released soon. It stars Tim McGraw and Faith Hill and is in the genre of the American West. It, therefore, revolves around the exploits of dauntless adventurers in the Wild West of the US. The original show reignited a dying genre after drawing in a big audience. Hence, it is no surprise that a prequel will be released soon. The series is created by Taylor Sheridan and revolves around the life of a family in the western zone of the USA. The show will also get a spin-off in the future.

1883: Plot and Cast

The official synopsis of the show reads as follows:

“1883 follows the Dutton family as they embark on a journey west through the Great Plains toward the last bastion of untamed America. It is a stark retelling of Western expansion, and an intense study of one family fleeing poverty to seek a better future in America’s promised land — Montana.”

The series thus centers around the harsh life and tough days faced by the family. The series trailer offers a grim insight into the show. As for the cast of the show, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill will be starring James and Margaret Dutton. Isabel May, LaMonica Garrett, and Billy Bob Thornton have also been confirmed to appear in the show. Audie Rick, Marc Rissmann, Eric Nelsen are also on the roster of actors for the series.

1883 is set to premiere on Paramount+ on Sunday, December 19.

It will also be available for streaming on NBC’s Peacock platform. A trailer for the show has not yet been released.
