7 Must-Play Video Games

The world of video games is packed with some incredible titles that have left their mark forever. There are games for those who want adventure, those who want action, and those who want to test their skills against others.

While this list isn’t complete, these are seven games that you should download and play. Whether you are an avid gamer, play slots, or casual gamer, there is something here for you.

God of War Series

God of War is one of the most successful and popular game franchises ever made. You take control of Kratos, a man who is tasked with eliminating the gods of Olympus, and in the latest games, the story moves to Norse mythology.

Using special weapons, magic, and unique powers, Kratos battles across beautiful and massive areas, defeating enemies and taking on gods like Ares, Thor, and legends like Hercules.

The series has been praised for its deep and extensive storytelling, the large amount of character development, and the fact that you battle with and against gods that we have read and learned about. No other game has brought mythology to life the same way God of War has.

Grand Theft Auto V

Grand Theft Auto is one of the most famous game franchises in history, and GTA V is the biggest game yet. The single-player campaign follows the three protagonists, Michael, Frank, and Clinton.

You then take part in bank robberies, thefts, high-speed chases, escapes, doing jobs for some shady people, and eventually trying to become the wealthiest gangsters in all of San Andreas.

GTA V may be eight years old at this point, but it looks like a game that was released last week. It is constantly updated with new missions, areas, vehicles, weapons, and everything in between. The amount of game to play is almost too much to process.

Red Dead Redemption 2

From the creators of Grand Theft Auto, we get the Western action/adventure game Red Dead Redemption 2. While the first game is incredible, the second one ironed out all the kinks and is easily the best game between the two.

Set in 1899, you take on the role of Arthur Morgan, an outlaw in a fictionalized version of the US Midwest. Part of a gang, the story follows you as you attempt to deal with the “Wild West” fall and try to fight against government forces, rival gangs, and other adversaries hidden in the world around you.

The open-world game allows you to explore and participate in shootouts, heists, hunting, fishing, horseback riding, exploring, and interacting with NPCs. You are also able to raise or lower your honor depending on the choices you make. It is GTA-meets-the-Wild-West and is amazing.

Warzone

While there have been numerous battle royale-style games over the past few years, the best yet is Warzone. Based on the world of Call of Duty, the game plays out similarly to other BR’s; you drop into a map, loot up, and battle your way to becoming the last man standing.

Unlike other BR’s though, Warzone is tied into the COD multiplayer and follows the same story. This means there are often in-game events, map changes, and new things to do and uncover, depending on where you are in the story.

The game will also be receiving its most significant update yet in the coming weeks. A brand new mp will be introduced, which ties into the new Call of Duty Vanguard release. For a free game, Warzone has so much it is almost unbelievable.

Super Mario World

You have to travel all the way back to 1990 to appreciate just how good Super Mario World was. However, there is no need to; you can play old Gameboy and Nintendo games on your PC with technology and emulators.

Super Mario World is 100% one of those games. The side-scrolling adventure game is widely regarded as the best Mario game ever made, with the best levels, gameplay, and although it was simple, the best story.

While it is old, and there may be games out there that are more appealing, Super Mario World is not just the best Mario game, but one of the best games ever made in gaming history. A must-play for any video game lover.

DOTA

Dawn of the Ancients, or DOTA, is based on the world of Warcraft and is a strategy/action game where two teams attempt to destroy the other Nexus or headquarters. Each map has three distinct lanes, with each route having different wild enemies and roles in the game.

You control a character with their own set of skills and abilities and the powers you use to fight and destroy your enemies. As mentioned, across the map, there are “wild” enemies that you can defeat to score points and gain power and control.

The game requires a ton of teamwork and has blown up as one of the most popular eSports in the world. The gameplay is intense; the games are long, and it isn’t just the best game in its genre, but it’s one of the best games in the world right now.

The Last of Us

Released in 2013, The Last of Us tells the story of a smuggler named Joel, who is tasked with escorting a young girl named Ellie across the post-apocalyptic USA. However, they aren’t alone in this world, as it is filled with hostile humans and cannibalistic creatures.

You must also scavenge to try to find weapons and materials to create weapons to protect yourself against enemies. The game also leans heavily on stealth, as you often come across enemies that you don’t have the suitable materials or weapons to defend yourself against.

The game has been praised for years now for its unforgettable story. It is one of the few games that send you on an emotional rollercoaster that you spend days trying to recover from. There are no other games like it, and it is almost perfect in every way.
