Outward The Soroboreans set for DLC launch this week

The first DLC, Outward The Soroboreans, is due to be published in the spring of 2020. It centers on the Sorobor Academy and Harmattan and was formally revealed on 18 February 2020.

This is based on the supernatural branch of the Soroboreans, a group of wandering wizards-merchants. Outward gained cult success on release because it was considered to be extremely complex, with lots of survival elements, and was especially appreciated for the incorporation of local and multiplayer coops. Not much is known about the upcoming DLC, except for a few bits from the official release.

The DLC will be released sometime in Spring 2020 and the maker, Nine Dots Studio, says it will be easier and more punitive. “The universe just got a lot scarier,” he says, as though the base game wasn’t intense enough.

New Trailer

A new trailer was released showcasing the DLC “The Soroboreans” arriving early for the open-world RPG Outwards. Guillaume Boucher-Vidal, CEO of the Nine Dots Project, takes us through fresh and interesting material in the current game dev diary. The game is coming to PS4, Xbox One, and PC, but there’s currently no release date.

Updates

The latest update will include a brand-new division and a whole new area to conquer, plus numerous other enhancements.

The RPG has gained a lot of acclaims since it was released last year, not due to its unrewarding gameplay and co-op support. But the Soroboreans are adding more features to keep track of, such as greed, enchantments, new ability trees and rank effects, a different form of weapon, and dungeons.

Offering a great new plot, plus new missions, abilities, weapons, playing styles, tasks, bosses, dungeons, and more! The developers have approximately 25 percent more content added to the title.

Players must wrap up their first quest and then converse to the Soroborean Caravan to begin the DLC. The Soroboreans was revealed back in February, and the developers promised that they would not ease the challenge.

Outward The Soroboreans DLC is coming to Windows on June 16th, with a PlayStation version set for July 7th.
