After a long wait, Netflix has finally announced the official renewal of another season of one of the most-watched series, Sex Education. The series is supposed to hit the screens next year, delayed due to the pandemic. Even the Instagram account of Sex Education posted an IGTV where the casts are getting ready to go back to their set for another exciting and funny journey. The British drama is created by Laurie Nunn and premiered on 11 January 2019. It became a critical and commercial success for Netflix, with over 40 million viewers streaming the first series after its debut. A lot of things are to be answered in this season since the last one ended with a lot of suspense and the teens discovering themselves a bit more.

The official description of Sex Education on Netflix goes like, “Insecure Otis has all the answers when it comes to sex advice, thanks to his therapist mom. So rebel Maeve proposes a school sex-therapy clinic.” Maeve and Otis started a secret sex therapy for the sake of earning their pocket money. Several teens come up to them with their own problems and might or might not get their solutions. In the second season, Otis’s mother joins his high school as their counselor, and her fame spreads like a wildfire. Sex Education is funny and heartfelt but with sprinkles of maturity and development. The teens discover their sexuality, emotional turmoil, career problems, and even face the real world. The show also addresses serious real-life issues like sexual assault and harassment. The drama is ultimately more than just the title and a definite non-judgemental escapade. It also teaches people that its okay to feel the way you do and its okay to be confused and counsels us how to deal with those feelings.

The cast list of Sex Education starts with Asa Butterfield as Otis, Gillian Anderson as Dr. Jean, Ncuti Gatwa as Eric, Emma Mackey as Maeve, Connor Swindells as Adam, Kedar Williams-Stirling as Jackson, Aimee Lou Wood as Aimee, Patricia Allison as Ola, Alistair Petrie as Michael Groff, Tanya Reynolds as Lily, Mimi Keene as Ruby, Chaneil Kular as Anwar, Simone Ashley as Olivia and Mikael Persbrandt as Jakob.
