Godfall: Release Date, Gameplay and Features!

Godfall is a forthcoming game created by Counterplay Games and released by Gearbox Publishing. Save the Aperion. You are the last Valorian warriors, masters of battle armed with the famous armor called Valorplates.

Embark on adventures in a fantasy action RPG that uses high-impact third-person melee combat to challenge players as they search for treasure, wear legendary armor sets, and fight ferocious foes. Face daunting missions that reward you with head-turning loot as you defeat the armies that are fighting against you.

Release Date

The game’s trailer was announced at The Game Awards in December 2019. The game will be available on PS5 and Windows at the end of 2020. It was the first title announced for launch on PS5.

Gameplay

The game is set in a high fantasy world, separated into the worlds of Earth, Water, Air, Fire, and Spirit, where players take on the role of one of the last exalted Knight’s Order to avoid a major catastrophic event. The player has 5 weapon types to choose from, depending on one of their armor sets, the Valorplates, they are equipped with.

These weapon types include the longsword, the twin blades, the pole knife, the two-handed war axe, and the two-handed sword. Additional Valorplates and Augments may be designed to change the way how the character class performs. Supports single-player and up to three players in the drop-in drop-out multiplayer mode.

The game is characterized as a looter-slasher. While focused on the loot shooter concept of finishing tasks and earning better rewards for more challenges, the focus of the combat is on the melee hits instead of the ranged ones.
