The Masked Singer Season 4 – Recent updates about the latest season on Fox!

The Masked Singer is a reality singing competition television series on Fox. The series first premiered in January, 2019. The Masked Singer on Fox is the first non-Asian adaptation of the international Masked Singer television franchise. It features celebrities disguised in costumes from head to toe, as they perform covers of famous songs while in costume. After the performances in each episode, the panelists and the audience vote for their favorite performance of the night. The least popular contestant is eliminated, taking off their mask and revealing their identity.

The panelists on The Masked Singer include Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg, Nicole Scherzinger and Robin Thicke. Nick Cannon is the host on The Masked Singer. Along with the four regular panelists, a guest panelist often appears alongside them. The series is created for the US television by Craig Plestis. He also serves as an executive producer on the show, along with James Breen, Rosie Seitchik, and Nick Cannon.

The Masked Singer Season 4 – Recent Updates

The first and second season of The Masked Singer premiered in 2019. The third season premiered on February 2, 2020, and ended on May 20, 2020. The third season had seventeen episodes, with Kandi Burruss emerging as the winner of season 3. The ratings for season 3 were quite good, with the season averaging 8.64 million viewers across its run of seventeen episodes. Unsurprisingly, the show was renewed for a fourth season in May 2020.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there will be no studio audience for season 4. Instead, this season, a virtual audience, featuring superfans of the show, will be casting their votes from their homes. The panelists have also been seated with proper social distancing norms, 6 feet away from each other. Craig Plestis, the executive producer on The Masked Singer, said this about the audience at season 4-

“I think we’re all exhausted being on Zooms every day and so is the average viewer. The last thing they want to have is watch a TV show that looks like work. Our mission was to try to make it as familiar as possible and to go back to old school. How do we do that? Through a lot of innovation, through some virtual reality stuff that we’ve been playing with, to make the sets even bigger. It’s not going to feel like a COVID show, and I think we really achieved that. It feels like a broadcast network TV show, and not a Zoom call.”

Season 4 of The Masked Singer premiered on Fox on September 23, 2020. Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy, Nicole Scherzinger, and Robin Thicke return as panelists, and Nick Cannon also returns as host of the show.
