The Last Thing He Wanted: Plot and Cast
Elena McMahon is a reporter for the Washington Post who is appointed as a journalist covering the 1984 Presidential Election in the United States. After her mother dies, she stops her coverage of the election to take care of her father instead. She has no idea that she is about to walk into an international conspiracy.
Her father, Richard McMahon, is an arms dealer, who organises shipments to countries in Central America. She ends up taking his position as the official arms dealer of the U.S. Government to Central America. Elena now has to deal with her father’s mistakes as well as the extreme stresses of her job, including dealing with spies and the American military. Not to include moving to the Lesser Antilles. Bet she hadn’t expected that when she decided to take her of her father.
Anne Hathaway stars as Elena McMahon while William Defoe plays Richard ‘Dick’ McMahon. Ben Affleck plays Treat Morrison, a high level government employee who finds a glitch in Elena’s paperwork. He becomes romantically involved with her during the movie.
Rosie Perez plays Alma Guerrero while Edi Gathegi plays Jones. Mel Rodriguez plays Barry Sedlow while Onata Aprile plays Cat McMahon.
