DC’s Stargirl, or plainly Stargirl, is an American superhero television series. It was created by Geoff Johns and it premiered on streaming service DC Universe.  It is based on the DC Comics superhero Courtney Whitmore created by Johns and Lee Moder. the series was ordered by DC Universe in July 2018. Filming for the show began in March 2019 in the Atlanta metropolitan area in Georgia. The first episode aired on 18 May 2020.

The show received extremely favourable reviewers from the audience. The show developed a good rating on multiple platforms soon after its release. 78% likes on Google, 89% on Rotten Tomatoes, 7.3/10 on IMDb are just some examples of the promising ratings the series received.

WHAT IS STARGIRL ABOUT?

A decade after most of the Justice Society of American (JSA) was killed in a battle against the Injustice Society of America (ISA) which took place during the Christmas season, high school student Courtney Whitmore discovers the Cosmic Staff of Starman and learns that Courtney’s stepfather Pat Dugan used to be Starman’s sidekick, she becomes the inspiration for a whole new generation of superheros.

WHEN WILL SEASON 2 OF STAGIRL RELEASE?

Just like any other television show, Stargirl’s film production has also been interrupted due to the Covid-19 outbreak. The network has not decided on a season 2 premiere day but the production has already begun. Stargirl season 2 will not debut until spring/summer of 2021.
