Hello, Readers! The Harder They Fall, a Western drama starring Idris Elba and Lakeith Stanfield, premiered on October 22, 2021. The film is directed by Jeymes Samuel, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Boaz Yakin. It will be released on Netflix.

Jeymes Samuel, a British director, has always been a fan of old Westerns, but one thing he always pondered as a kid when he saw the classics with all the Black people. As he fabricates a fictitious vengeance tale full of action drama and fantastic music, Samuel has been able to rely on an extraordinarily brilliant cast to bring the historical figures to life – with Idris Elba, Jonathan Majors, and Regina King among the outstanding ensemble.

The film appears destined to be a genuine treat, with Jay-Z on board as a producer, some good early reviews, and an incendiary trailer.

Cast and Characters

Jonathan Majors of Lovecraft Country leads the cast as Nat Love, with Idris Elba of Luther as Rufus Buck, Zazie Beets of Joker and Atlanta as Stagecoach Mary, and Regina King of Watchmen as Trudy Smith rounding out the supporting cast.

And that’s not all: Delroy Lindo and LaKeith Stanfield have significant roles, as do RJ Cyler, Danielle Deadwyler, Edi Gathegi, Deon Cole, and Damon Wayans Jr.
