The Witcher Season 3: Release Date, Cast and more!

Created by Lauren Schmidt Hissrich, The Witcher is a fantasy drama television series that is streaming on Netflix. The first season of the show premiered on December 20, 2019.

The second season was released on December 17, 2021. The series also got an animated origin story film, The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf was released on August 23, 2021, while a prequel miniseries, The Witcher: Blood Origin, will be released in 2022.

The Witcher Season 3 Release Date

The makers of The Witcher have not confirmed an official release date for Season 3. However, we can expect it to release sometime towards the end of 2022 or the first half of 2023.

The third season is also expected to have eight episodes like the previous seasons. It is streaming on Netflix and those who want to watch it can purchase a subscription at a price of Rs. 149 to Rs. 649 .

The Witcher Plot and Cast

Although the plot for Season 3 has not been revealed, it will continue from the apocalyptic air that descends across the Continent in Season 2. Although, if we had to guess, it’ll probably involve Geralt killing some terrifying monsters along the way.

Lauren S. Hissrich has been doing plenty of press ahead of “The Witcher” Season 2, and she recently teased what to expect from the third season. According to ComicBook.com, Hissrich spoke at the Lucca Comics & games 2021 festival and revealed, “What I will say about third season, the writers are back in Los Angeles diligently working while I am here getting to do this, so I’m greatfull for them,” before also adding that it will be a “really fun season.”

The showrunner went on to say that “The Witcher” Season 3 will follow a “particular book very closly” and that it includes “a lot of action, some death … some death.”

The lead cast of the series includes Henry Cavill, Freya Allan, Anya Chalotra , Eamon Farren, and Joey Batey. We will also get to see MyAnna Buring, Royce Pierreson, Mimî M. Khayisa, Wilson Mbomio, Anna Shaffer, Mahesh Jadu, and Tom Canton.
