Created by Chris Lang, Unforgotten is a British crime drama television series streaming on ITV. The show has received decent feedback from critics and audiences and currently holds an approval rating of 91% on Rotten Tomatoes.
The series ran for four seasons starting from 2015 to 2021. They are premiered on October 8, 2015, January 5, 2017, July 15, 2018, February 22, 2021. On March 30, 2021, the series was announced for the fifth season, scheduled for release in 2022.

The release date for Unforgotten Season 5 is yet to be announced by the makers. However, we can expect it to release sometime in 2022.
The new season might have six episodes like the previous four seasons. Any other changes in the cast, crew or story might be revealed in the upcoming few months.
Unforgotten Season 5 Plot and Cast
There is no official update about the storyline of Unforgotten Season 5, but we expect that there will be a new friend of DI Sunny. They will help DI Sunny to solve many problems.
The series starts with the detectives of London who are going to start the investigations. In Unforgotten Season 5, we will see lots of new characters, and maybe they all will be connected differently. Each series deals with a new case introducing seemingly unconnected characters who are gradually revealed to have some relationship with the victim. As the murder mystery unfolds, the emotional ramifications of the crime are also explored in the lives of those affected.
Now, talking about the cast, we might get to see Nicola Walker, Sanjeev Bhaskar, Sinead Keenan, Jordan Lang, Lewis Reeves and Pippa Nixon in the lead roles. There is a possibility that Peter Egan, Jassa Ahluwalia, Colin R. Campbell, Carolina Main, Alastair MacKenzie, Geogia Mackenzie, Michelle Bonnard and Janet Dibley might return in the new season.
