Akil also served as the executive producer of the show along with Michael Platt, Salim Akil, Kelsey Grammer, Devon Greggory, Tom Russo, Jordan McMahon, and James Bitonti. In February 2022, the makers renewed the show for a second season.

The series relocates from San Diego to Las Vegas and see new players offer a modern-day examination of Black culture through the prism of pro football.
